Budget: $80,000.00

B. Wood Athletic Flooring Refinishing at the Auxiliary Gymnasium at Shawnee High School, and the North Gymnasium at Cherokee High School.  The Contractor shall be responsible for the following scope of work:

1. General Coordination responsibilities including the following:
a. Coordination of the work with the Owner.

2. Selective demolition responsibilities included within the scope of the project shall include the following:

a. Removal and disposal of the existing wood flooring system, rails, anchoring systems, base, vapor barriers, mastic and accessories as scheduled and re-quired to accommodate the proposed walk-off carpet areas.
b. Removal and replacement of the existing wood and vinyl floor base.
c. Removal and replacement of the existing electrical box covers at Cherokee High School.
d. Preparation of the existing wood flooring as required to accommodate the specified wood floor finishing systems.
e. Temporary protections to the extent required to protect the existing im-provements designated to remain.
f. Removal of all trash generated by the scope f this contract, including the supply of dumpsters and trash receptacles as may be required to complete the scope of this work.

3. Application / Installation of wood floor finish systems and accessories, including, but not limited to the following:

a. Preparation of existing floors and walls as required to accommodate the pro-posed floor finish systems.
b. Application of sealer and finish coats specified.
c. Application of game lines and custom floor graphics shown and scheduled. 
d. Supply and installation of heavy carpet tile at entrances, and where designated on the Contract Drawings.  Scope of this work shall further include concrete work necessary and as shown to establish the proper floor elevations.
e. Supply and installation aluminum thresholds at doors and entrances, and at all locations where the proposed wood athletic flooring abuts adjacent floor finishes.
f. Repair of adjacent finishes damaged as a result of the work of this contract.
g. The scope of the Base Bid shall include repairs to a total of twenty-five (25) separate instances of damaged wood flooring between Shawnee and Chero-kee High School as identified by the Owner and Architect.  Damaged lengths of existing wood gymnasium flooring shall constitute 8” to 12” individual lengths of existing gymnasium flooring.  Additional repairs shall be performed on an individual basis based on the Unit Price Section of the contract specifications.
h. Supply of the contractor’s 2 yr. gymnasium flooring finish warranty.

All fees (deposit checks for plans and specifications) shall be paid directly to LENAPE REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION.

The Bidder, and any sub-contractor classified under the above categories must present evidence INCLUDED WITHIN THEIR FORM OF BID, of their pre-qualifications, including current New Jersey Schools Development Authority (NJSDA), Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) Copy of “Notice of Classification”, Current DPMC Copy of “Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts” and Business Registration Certificate.

Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of NJSA 18A:18A-1 et. seq., the Public School Contracts Law.
