Bidding Information

Description:
The scope of the work shall include, but is not limited to the following:
1. Full System Replacement
• Under the Base Bid, the Contractor shall remove and replace both existing fire alarm systems in their entirety. Refer to project specific Scope of work notes provided on the Drawings.
2. Work Includes:
• Removal of the Siemens FireFinder – Jordan Road and Simplex 4020 – Dawes Avenue FACPs, associated power supplies, amplifiers, notification appliances, and initiating devices.
• Installation of a new, fully integrated fire alarm and emergency voice/alarm communication system (EVACS) serving all areas.
• Replacement of all initiating devices, notification appliances, raceway (Concealed/Surface) and wiring as required to meet current code.
• Installation of new FACP(s), amplifiers, power supplies, batteries, annunciators, and network components.
• Complete programming, testing, and commissioning of the new unified system.
3. The new system shall be fully code compliant, UL listed, and capable of supporting future expansion without major reconfiguration.

Addenda:
If necessary, an addendum will be issued on or before Monday, June 1, 2026.
