G. The Work consists of the following:  The Work as defined by the General and Supplementary Conditions, the extent of which is covered in the Contract Documents and is described herewith (briefly) and without force of effect upon the Contract Documents.
1.4 WORK OF THE CONTRACT
A. The Work as defined by the General and Supplementary Conditions, the extent of which is covered in the Contract Documents and is described herewith (briefly) and without force of effect upon the Contract Documents.
1. Base Bid Scope of Work.  The scope of the work shall include, but is not limited to the following:

a. General Construction, including, but not limited to
1) Demolition of construction designated and required to accommodate the new work, including masonry and concrete demolition work, existing doors, hardware, glazing, VCT floor tile within room F114 including mastic, and built-in construction referenced.
2) Cutting, patching and restoration of existing interior and exterior finishes to the extent required to accommodate the work of this contract.
3) General Construction associated with the proposed storage platform, includ-ing foundations, cutting of existing concrete slabs, reinforcing, concrete deck fill and reinforcing, and alternating tread stair.
4) Supply and installation of new interior wood doors, frames, glazing and hardware, and overhead doors, frames, operators and appurtenances.  Work is to include construction of the steel / concrete lintels, beams and finishes at the head of the door, and restoration of adjacent wall and ceiling finishes.
5) Interior finishes noted, including painting of walls and ceilings, vinyl wall base installed over epoxy floor finishes installed by others, and vinyl transition strips and reducers.
6) Restoration of existing cabinets indicated to remain.
7) Supply and installation of new display boards, tack and marker boards indi-cated, salvaging and reinstallation of the existing sliding marker board cur-rently located within Architectural Engineering Classroom F114.
8) Supply and installation of new interior signage indicated.
9) Roof cutting, patching and restoration to the extent required to accommodate the work of this contract.  Refer to the Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical drawings for the extent of new openings, penetrations, curbs and pipe sup-ports requiring cutting and restoration of the existing EPDM Roofing sys-tem.  Perform restoration in accordance with the details included within specification section 075323, “Ethylene-Propylene-Diene-Monomer (EPDM) Roofing”.
10) Supply and installation of the proposed exterior carport, including cutting and patching of exterior construction, curbing and pavements, and supply and installation of new lighting and electrical services and devices indicated.  All work associated with the construction of the proposed carport shall be included within the scope of a Bid Alternate.
b. Structural Steel Construction, including, but not limited
1) Storage platform framing systems, including structural steel framing, com-posite steel deck, steel handrail systems and retractable ladder.
2) Miscellaneous steel framing and lintels as required to support and accommodate new and enlarged door openings, new or relocated mechanical systems and roof openings.
c. Mechanical Work, including, but not limited to new dedicated outdoor air systems, blower coils, air curtains, exhaust fans, gravity ventilators, pumps, ductwork, diffusers, grilles, and relocation of existing mechanical work in designated to remain but in conflict with new construction proposed as a part of this contract.
d. Plumbing Work, including, but not limited gas services, water service, compressed air piping, system and compressor, drainage systems and relocation of existing plumbing work in designated to remain but in conflict with new construction pro-posed as a part of this contract, and supply and installation of new electrical services shown and required for a complete operating system.  Operating systems shall include all mechanical and plumbing systems, and equipment scheduled to be provided as a part of this contract as well as under the scope of a separate contract(s).
e. Electrical Work, including, but not limited to electrical demolition and relocation, re-location of existing electrical work in designated to remain but in conflict with new construction proposed as a part of this contract, and supply and installation of new electrical services shown and required for a complete operating system.  Operating systems shall include all mechanical and plumbing systems, electrically operated overhead doors, operators and controls, and equipment scheduled to be provided as a part of this contract as well as under the scope of a separate contract(s).

All fees (deposit checks for plans and specifications) shall be paid directly to LENAPE REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION.

The Bidder, or its sub-contractors, shall be classified by the State of New Jersey – Division of Property Management and Construction in one of the following classification:

C009 “General Construction/Alterations & Additions”
C029 “Structural Steel & Ornamental Iron”
C030 “Plumbing”*
C032 “HVACR”*
C047 “Electrical”
*Copies of Licenses must be attached

The Bidder, and any sub-contractor classified under the above categories must present evidence INCLUDED WITHIN THEIR FORM OF BID, of their pre-qualifications, including current Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) Copy of “Notice of Classification”, Current DPMC Copy of “Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts” and Business Registration Certificate.

Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of NJSA 18A:18A-1 et. seq., the Public School Contracts Law.

The Lenape Regional High School District Board of Education assumes no responsibility whatsoever in connection with any defects arising out of the issuance of the Contract Documents or the receipt or failure to receive bids, including those which may arise from delay for any reason in obtaining the Contract Documents or submitting the Contract Bid Forms, including but not limited to traffic delay, messengering, mis-labeling, mis-directions from any source, mis-delivery or otherwise. 

When it is its best interest to do so and to the maximum extent of its discretion under applicable law, the Lenape Regional High School District Board of Education may award the Contract in whole or in part, select any combination of bids and alternates, may waive informalities, and may reject any or all bids:
