The Bidder, and any sub-contractor classified under the above categories must present evidence INCLUDED WITHIN THEIR FORM OF BID, of their pre-qualifications, including current New Jersey Schools Development Authority (NJSDA), Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) Copy of “Notice of Classification”, Current DPMC Copy of “Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts” and Business Registration Certificate.
Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of NJSA 18A:18A-1 et. seq., the Public School Contracts Law.

1.1 WORK OF THE CONTRACT
A. The Work as defined by the General and Supplementary Conditions, the extent of which is covered in the Contract Documents and is described herewith (briefly) and without force of effect upon the Contract Documents.
B. Base Bid Scope of Work. The scope of the work shall include, but is not limited to the following:
1. CONTRACT NO. 1 –CONTRACT FOR ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION
a. General Coordination responsibilities including the following:
1) Coordination of the work with Sub-Contractors, utility companies, and the Owner’s forces active on the project site. All Contractors shall act in accordance with the schedule dictated by the Owner, and shall coordinate all construction activities through the General Contractor and Owner, as agreed and accepted by the Owner and Architect.
b. Selective demolition responsibilities included within the scope of the project shall include the following:
1) Removal and disposal of the existing generator, transfer switch and associated equipment as designated.
2) Removal and disposal of any and all abandoned or unused conduit, raceway and piping the adjacent structure. Scope of the work shall further include the removal of all associated fasteners and anchors, patching of penetrations, and touch-up paint of patched construction.
3) Primary electrical service disconnect, coordination with the local utility company.
4) Removal of equipment and accessories as designated and required to complete the scope of the proposed work.
5) Cutting and patching of asphalt and concrete structures and surfaces as may be required to accommodate the relocation of existing utility services, removal of the existing generator, and installation of new generator and support services.
6) Repair, patching and preparation of existing masonry wall surfaces as required to accommodate the proposed construction.
7) Removal and relocation of existing electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems indicated and required for the performance of the proposed work.
c. Crane Services as required to remove the existing generator, and set the new generator. Crane operations are to be coordinated with the Owner’s use of the Building.
d. Supply and installation of a temporary diesel fuel temporary generator, as delineated within Specification Section 015000, “Temporary Facilities and Controls”
e. Removal and restoration of interior finishes as necessary to accommodate the proposed scope of work.
f. Patching of building finishes damaged or altered as a result of the work of this contract.
g. Modification of the existing generator concrete pad as may be required to accommodate the generator and associated equipment proposed.
h. Supply and installation of new emergency generator and associated equipment.
i. Supply and/or modification of the existing gas service as detailed.
j. Alterations to existing electrical service to accommodate new generator.
k. Electrical Work, including, but not limited to electrical demolition and relocation, and supply and installation of new electrical services shown and required for a complete operating system.
l. Warranties as specified.
m. Temporary services specified and required.
1. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OWNER:
a. Removal of all furnishings or loose equipment as required to accommodate the scope of this contract prior to the start of work and subsequent reinstallation of furnishings after final completion.
b. Access to standard single phase electrical service for light power equipment and tools required to perform the work. The contractor shall be responsible for the supply of temporary generators for three phase electrical service when and if required.
c. Provisions for access to the work area.
IF NECESSARY, AN ADDENDUM WILL BE ISSUED on Monday, August 30, 2021.
