Description:
Each Prime Contractor shall be a firm classified by the State of New Jersey - Division of Property Management and Construction for one of the following classifications, as appropriate:
1. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION / STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK, TO INCLUDE ALL WORK AND MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE EXTERIOR ENVELOPE OF THE PROPOSED ADDITION.

1. The Work includes the following scope of work:
a. Additions:
1) 2 story stairwell addition.
b. Renovations:
1) Interior renovations associated with Fire Department Offices, Storage Area, Stairwell and construction Office Storage Room.
c. Work includes:
1) CMU and Metal stud truss bearing walls
2) Cold formed metal framing roof joists and metal deck.
3) Metal wall cladding and aluminum windows.
4) New finishes and protection of existing finishes, restoration of existing finishes.
5) EPDM roofing and drainage sytem.
d. Mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression and electrical systems shall be provided to support the new construction and renovated spaces as described on drawings and specifications.
e. A new fire alarm system, via alternate bid, shall be provided for the entire building including existing, renovated and new construction.
f. Mechanical systems shall include but not be limited to demolition, equipment relocation, heating/cooling units, ductwork, piping, exhaust fans and all required accessories for a fully functioning system.
g. Electrical systems shall include but not be limited to demolition, power, grounding, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications infrastructure, video cabling and electrical connections to all new equipment.
h. Plumbing systems shall include demolition, domestic cold water service, domestic hot water service, domestic hot water return service, sanitary piping, vent piping, storm piping, gas piping, plumbing fixtures, insulation and connections to all new equipment for a fully functioning system
